Dr. Subodh Chandra Garai was born on Thursday, 09.06.1955 (in certificate of School Final Examination 1971 this date was recorded as 20.01.1955) at Patharmora (Hedorghat), post office Nutan Balarampur, police station Sonamukhi, district BANKURA, West Bengal, INDIA. From 1990, he permanently resides at AASHABARI, 11 Laskarpur (Purbapara), post office Laskarpur, ward no.31 of Rajpur-Sonarpur Municipality, police station (under “Baruipur” Police District) Narendrapur (earlier Sonarpur), district South 24 Parganas, Kolkata – 700 153, INDIA. Dr. S. C. Garai completed M. Com. from Burdwan University (W. Bengal) in 1978, M. Phil. from Calcutta University in 1989 and Ph. D. (on share price behaviour) from B. U. in 1995. He has several published research papers in reputed journals published from India but some are circulated outside India (on financial market behaviour including that of banks operating in INDIA) as well as on accounting vis-a-vis information technology and also recent past on politics (on potential application of cybernetic principles and processes to synchronise political process). He is the author of some articles as well as review of various disciplines (mostly on phytochemistry) and most of them are published in this website and also in Facebook using different methods of presentations taking resort to state of the art in IT. Dr. Garai joined West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service (under Finance Department, Audit Branch, of W. Bengal Government) on 10.12.1979 and leaving that service on 02.05.1981 (from the post of Additional Treasury Officer, Cheque, Islampur Treasury, the then district West Dinajpur, now North Dinajpur), he joined as Lecturer in Commerce on 04.05.1981 in K. K. Das College, Kolkata – 700 084 and worked till 29.11.2006 as Reader in Commerce. On 30.11.2006, he joined BARUIPUR COLLEGE (district South 24 Parganas, W. Bengal, PIN – 743610) as Principal. He retired on 31.01.2015 from college service – now former Principal of BARUIPUR COLLEGE.
